Lecture 6 (Edwards) - Complex Types and Decision Structures

Lecture Date: Monday, February 2

Today we will continue our discussion on primitative vs complex data types.

We will also learn about making our code operate differently depending on the input.

For example we may want to create a program to tell use what to wear based on the weather.

Things to talk about today:

  • Complex types
  • if statements
  • Nested if statements
  • if, else if statements
  • Logical operators ( == != <= < >= > && || )
  • Sting methods
  • If we have time switch and start loops
